Hi, we are a late 40s married couple that loves Pu’er. My wife has lived and worked in Jinghong for the last ~ 20 years. She has worked in many areas of the Yunnan and Xishuangbanna governments: including hotel management, import-export agent, tea house manager, section clerk, school teacher and a few other positions. Due to her work she has had many contacts with the local Pu’er tea industry. She is the one that turned me on to Pu’er. My work has taken me to Asia often over the past 20 years. I have been to Japan over 60 times, Korea over 40 times, Taiwan over 30 times, China over 20 times and Singapore over 20 times. During these travels I have been lucky and met many that have taught me a little about tea. Plus, the tea festivals I have attended were great.
Her former students are now high level managers in the tea business or owners of local tea producting companies. Plus, her government position allowed her to get some of the best tea never released on the market. Right now they are just in our collections, but who knows. They still need to age to be truly great.
We love tea and decided to open a high end Pu’er tea store, since we can guarantee the quality of our product being local. If you want, look at our site. We are just building the site, so not much yet. We hope to expand out and sponsor some local SoCal tastings. Also we want to increase quality of the content and add links discussing tea.
We look at wine, tea, beer and coffee all as part of whole. These great drinks are a great way to truly enjoy life and stay healthy at the same time. Relax and enjoy all that life has given us.
